Ultra-Shield 2490 is a two-component (1:1 by volume) epoxy asphalt base coat that acts as a Class 1 vapor retarder over spray polyurethane foam roofing, and must be top coated with Ultra-Flex 1000 acrylic or Ultra-Guard 5700 silicone for cold storage roofing, green roofing and under paver systems. It is natural black, spray applied with high-pressure plural-component equipment at 60 dry mils in four lifts, and sold in 10-, 100- and 500-gallon kits. The TDS lists a UL listing and classification under File 14330 and ASTM E108 Class A over noncombustible decks and Class B over combustible decks with an acrylic or silicone top coat, and a water vapor transmission below 0.01 perms at 20 mils (ASTM E96).
