Ultra-Guard 5500 LS is a low-solids, single-component, rapid-cure silicone elastomer for protecting construction surfaces from weather and moisture, applied as a two-coat system of a base coat and a contrasting-colored top coat over polyurethane foam, roof membranes, BUR and metal. The maker states it resists ponding water and heat up to 250 F, and an accelerator package can shorten dry time. It comes in white, light gray, light tan and medium gray in 5-gallon pails and 50-gallon drums. The TDS lists a UL 790 Class A classification as a component of roof deck assemblies in UL File 14330 and California State Fire Marshal approval.
