Ultra-Flex 1700 is a 100 percent acrylic, elastomeric, self-priming base coat for newly installed and existing asphalt and BUR roof systems, intended for use with Ultra-Flex 1800 top coat, and also used as an acrylic recoat. It comes in tan, gray and white in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums and 250-gallon totes. The TDS states it exceeds several ASTM D6083 property requirements and is classified Class A by Underwriters Laboratories under UL 790 in File R14330; the maker's acrylic coatings page states Ultra-Flex coatings are Class B over combustible decks and Class A over non-combustible decks.
