TimberCrest Premium SBS-Modified Ridge Cap Shingles are GAF's 10 in. (254 mm) wide, high-profile hip and ridge caps with a rounded bullnose leading edge, made with SBS polymer-modified asphalt that GAF says enhances flexibility and lets the cap pass the UL 2218 Class 4 impact-resistance test; the rating applies only to product sold in packages bearing the Class 4 classification statement. DuraGrip self-seal adhesive helps reduce blow-off, an alignment guide in the headlap helps center each piece over the hip or ridge, and the caps ship in a lightweight carry box. Packages bearing the StainGuard Plus logo carry a 25-year algae protection limited warranty. The product is eligible for up to a Lifetime limited warranty when installed with GAF Lifetime shingles and qualifying accessories (the page prints both "at least two additional" and "at least 3"), can be used to comply with certain FORTIFIED Roof requirements in the U.S., and is not available in all regions.
