Seal-A-Ridge AS is the impact-resistant version of GAF's 12 in. (305 mm) machine-cut hip and ridge cap, made with SBS polymer-modified asphalt that GAF says enhances flexibility and allows it to pass the UL 2218 Class 4 impact-resistance test; the rating applies only to product sold in packages bearing the Class 4 classification statement. Dura Grip self-seal adhesive reduces blow-off risk, packages bearing the StainGuard Plus logo carry a 25-year algae protection limited warranty, and GAF says it can be used to comply with certain FORTIFIED Roof requirements in the U.S. It is eligible for a Lifetime limited warranty when installed on GAF Lifetime Shingle roofs with qualifying accessories. GAF notes it is not available in all regions, and the product page links only the standard Seal-A-Ridge sell sheet rather than an AS-specific data sheet.
