GAF Roof Deck Seam Tape is a self-adhering, fiberglass-reinforced SBS modified asphalt tape applied to the roof deck to help seal joints, seams and areas around fasteners against water intrusion, as added protection beneath an asphalt roof system. GAF presents it as an important part of a FORTIFIED Roof system and says it can be used to comply with certain FORTIFIED Roof requirements in the United States.
