QuickStart Peel & Stick Starter Roll is GAF's nail-free starter course for eaves and rakes: the granule-surfaced roll is laid with its sealant dots nearest the roof edge, the release film is removed, and the roll is pressed into place. Deck-side adhesive allows one-time repositioning before it adheres over time, and Dura Grip adhesive on top helps lock down shingle edges against blow-off. GAF says the product can be used to comply with certain FORTIFIED Roof requirements in the U.S., that its starter strips with special installation can unlock increased wind coverage on many GAF shingles, and that it is eligible for a Lifetime Limited Warranty only when installed with GAF Lifetime shingles and qualifying GAF accessories (the page prints both "at least two additional" and "at least 3" qualifying accessories for that coverage).
