The Master Flow GreenMachine Dual-Powered Roof Vent (model ERVHYBRID) is a roof-mounted attic exhaust fan that switches automatically between solar and house power so it runs whether or not the sun is out, with thermostat control and a fully adjustable tilt-and-swivel solar panel. GAF rates it at up to 525 CFM (14.16 cubic meters per minute) on solar power and up to 750 CFM (21.24 cubic meters per minute) on house power, based on its own ASHRAE/ANSI standard airflow testing, says it uses 80% less electricity than typical electric-powered ventilators when on house power, and says the solar panel meets UL 1703 for solar panel impact resistance. It is backed by a 5-year limited warranty with a 2-year Labor Protection Plus Plan and is eligible for GAF enhanced warranty coverage when installed by a GAF-certified contractor as part of a qualifying system. It can be used to comply with certain FORTIFIED Roof requirements in the U.S.
