The Master Flow Bath & Dryer Rooftop Appliance Vent is GAF's all-metal roof cap for venting bathroom exhaust fans, clothes dryers and other household appliances through the roof, fitting 4 in. and 3 in. round ducts. It includes a stainless steel bird/pest screen, a noise-minimizing damper, a duct attachment collar and a 4 in. to 3 in. reducer, and GAF warns not to use the screen or reducer when venting clothes dryers. GAF says it meets ventilation codes calling for at least 12.5 sq. in. of net free area for rooftop bath, dryer and appliance vents, and that it passes the 110 mph wind-driven rain test per TAS100(A) and impact testing modeled after the UL 2218 Class 4 test, while stating the product is not listed or classified for impact resistance by any testing agency. Sold as models BDV4BL, BDV4BR, BDV4GR and BDV4WW, it is warranted against manufacturing defects for up to 50 years or as long as the adjacent roof cladding warranty, not to exceed 50 years, and is eligible for GAF enhanced warranty coverage with a GAF-certified contractor.
