Cobra Rigid Vent 3 is GAF's shingle-over ridge exhaust vent, printing 18 square inches of net free ventilating area per linear foot for roof pitches of 3:12 to 16:12. It is engineered from UV-resistant polymers, sold in a non-filtered version for warmer climates, and available in 9 in. (for 10 in.-width ridge cap shingles) and 11.5 in. (for 12 in.-width ridge cap shingles) widths with an EasyTear sizing feature and included 3 in. corrosion-resistant ring shank nails. The data sheet states it "passes the 110 mph wind-driven rain test per TAS 100(A)" under controlled laboratory testing, and is eligible for up to a Lifetime Limited Warranty only when installed with GAF Lifetime shingles and at least two additional qualifying GAF accessories. The data sheet also lists Miami-Dade County and State of Florida product approvals, Texas Department of Insurance Product Evaluation RV-29, and a UL 790 Class C listing whose footnote refers to actual assemblies in the UL Online Certification Directory.
