GacoFlex S42 Series is a high-adhesion, solvent-free, single-component, moisture-curing 100 percent silicone roof coating that the maker says needs no primer over most substrates, used as a maintenance coating over metal roofs, weathered single-ply membranes and polyurethane foam roofs, with the white S4200 also used over aged SBS, APP and built-up roofing. Its product data sheet lists UL790 Class A, CRRC 0608-0072, FM Approval, Miami-Dade product control approval and Florida Building Code compliance, and reports an initial SRI of 110 and a three-year SRI of 84 (ASTM E1980), with 298 psi tensile strength and 150 percent elongation under ASTM D2370. It warns against using colored silicone coatings over asphalt substrates.
