GacoFlex A38 Series is a single-component, water-borne acrylic elastomeric coating used as a protective coating and membrane on metal roofs with positive drainage, mechanical room floors and non-ponding walking decks, and where the odor of solvent-based coatings is unwanted. Its product data sheet lists four standard colors (Oyster, Pewter, Shale, Adobe) and six metal-roof-only colors, including Classic White, Weathered Copper and Colonial Red, with a VOC of 45 g/L that meets SCAQMD requirements. It reports 2500 psi minimum tensile strength and 300 percent minimum elongation under ASTM D412 and 90 Shore A hardness. The UL roofing-systems listing the maker publishes (TGFU.R5663) names A-38 Series in a Class A fluid-applied roof coating assembly over a noncombustible deck.
