A special-order roof window system that pairs an upper unit with a matching lower unit to form a large glazed area and, with an operable lower unit, access to a roof terrace. The upper unit is the FOP-V, with an automatic air inlet, or the FOP-X without one; the lower unit is the operable FOR or FOL or the fixed FOX. Every unit uses P50 triple glazing with argon, a toughened easy-clean outer pane and a laminated inner pane, for a window U-value of 0.19 BTU/hft2F, in pine with a natural acrylic finish and Anthracite Gray exterior profiles. The system is designed for roof pitches of 35 to 55 degrees, and FAKRO's drawings show it with Thermo flashing. Standard glazing units are limited to installations up to 3,000 ft above sea level. FAKRO America's limited warranty covers roof windows for 10 years against defects in material and workmanship.
