A wood roof window that pivots on an axis set above the center of the sash, so the lower part opens like a top-hung window anywhere from 0 to 45 degrees, operated by a handle at the bottom of the sash, with a V40P automatic air inlet. Frames are layered, vacuum-impregnated pine lacquered twice, with U3 argon double glazing for a window U-value of 0.23 BTU/hft2F. The FDY-V Duet proSky is the two-section version of the same window. Both install on roof pitches of 20 to 65 degrees, and FAKRO states the window meets the DIN 5034-1 placement requirement when installed between 39 and 43 degrees. Standard glazing units are limited to installations up to 3,000 ft above sea level. FAKRO America's limited warranty covers roof windows for 10 years against defects in material and workmanship.
