ProtecTite Ultra is Epilay's mechanically-attached, coated woven synthetic roofing underlayment for use under metal, slate and asphalt shingle roofing, manufactured to replace #15 and #30 asphalt felt. It has an 11 mil thickness, a 10-square (48 in. by 250 ft.) roll weighing 29 lb, and the same gray "GripWalk" high-traction top and "Skid-Resist" anti-skid bottom surfaces as Epilay's other ProtecTite lines. The product page states it is 25 times stronger and 10 times lighter than #15/#30 felt, meets ASTM D8257, and meets or exceeds ASTM D4869/D4869M-05(2011) and ASTM E108 (Class A fire, tested as part of a roof covering assembly), with a 30-year limited warranty.
