Superior Coat is a water-based, high-solids, fire-retardant, thixotropic 100% acrylic elastomeric roof coating for metal roofs, spray polyurethane foam, BUR and single-ply restoration on sloped roofs; the maker states it is not for flat roofs and that ponding water is to be avoided. It is applied by airless spray at 1-2 gallons per square per coat and is supplied in white. The data sheet lists solids of 65% by weight (ASTM D1644) and 53% by volume, elongation of 239% and tensile strength of 278 psi (ASTM D2370), permeance of 6.5 perms (ASTM D1653), hardness of 45 Shore A (ASTM D2240), solar reflectance of 86% and thermal emittance of 88%. It states the coating has passed ASTM D6083, prints Miami-Dade NOA number 14-0203.07, and is ENERGY STAR listed, CRRC rated and CA Title 24 approved.
