Glacier Guard 300 is EcoStar's self-adhering, high-temperature roofing underlayment, described on EcoStar's accessories page as an impermeable membrane that protects against wind-driven rain and water backup from ice dams. The data sheet prints a polypropylene surface with UV and weather resistive coatings, a 45 mil thickness (ASTM D-5147), thermal stability of 250 F and a temperature range of -40 F to 260 F, and rolls 36 inches wide by 72 feet long covering 200 square feet. It is installed over the metal drip edge at eaves, first in valleys, and should not be left exposed longer than 180 days.
