Duro-Shield Multi-Purpose Primer is a solvent-based primer used over aged PVC, EPDM and aged TPO membranes, galvanized steel, aluminum and Galvalume, and most existing elastomeric roof coatings before Duro-Shield silicone or acrylic roof coatings are applied. The data sheet states it is not for asphalt, concrete or other rough or porous substrates and that existing silicone coatings should not be primed. It is Duro-Last blue, prints VOC of 227.7 g/L by SCAQMD 1168 and a cure time of about 2 hours, and ships in 5-gallon pails.
