Tyvek Protec PSU is DuPont's self-adhered roofing underlayment, pairing a synthetic slip-resistant walking surface with a polymer modified bitumen adhesive and a split release liner, for slopes of 2:12 and higher and aimed at eaves, valleys and other areas exposed to ice dams and wind-driven rain. The product information sheet lists it under asphalt shingles, concrete tiles, metal panels, shakes, synthetic shingles and primed cedar shakes, prints an installation range of 40 to 120 degrees F, a 240 degree F maximum service temperature, 180 days of UV exposure, a 50-mil nominal thickness, 36-inch by 67-foot rolls, tensile strength of 100 lbs MD and 90 lbs CD and plywood adhesion of 36 lbs/ft to ASTM D1970, below 0.03 perms, and a pass for liquid water transmission to ASTM D4869. It lists ICC-ES AC188 and AC48 (per ICC-ESR 5378), FBC (FL37886), HVHZ and Miami-Dade approval, and a 30-year limited warranty.
