Tyvek Protec 160 is a four-layer synthetic roofing underlayment whose embossed non-woven top layer carries grooves for dirt and water flow over a lamination layer that acts as the water barrier, a woven polypropylene scrim and a slip-resistant deck-side coating; DuPont markets it for slopes of 2:12 or higher under a variety of roofing materials in repair, re-roofing and new construction, in 48-inch by 250-foot rolls. The product information sheet prints a nominal thickness of 0.379 mm (14.9 mils), trapezoid tear strength of 30 lbf MD and 35 lbf CD, tensile strength of 96.8 lbf MD and 95.4 lbf CD to ASTM D751, permeability below 0.05 perms, and a Class A fire rating pass to ASTM E108, and lists ASTM D8257, ASTM E108 and ICC-ES AC188 (per Intertek CCRR-0394) with Florida Building Code, HVHZ and Miami-Dade listings. It is backed by a 40-year limited warranty, and DuPont's installation guide requires it to be covered by the final roof cladding within 6 months.
