Styrofoam Brand Square Edge is a grey extruded polystyrene (XPS) board that DuPont sells for conventional roofs as well as continuous wall insulation, foundations, slabs, attics and crawl spaces; the low-slope roofing brochure lists it, flat and tapered at 1/2 to 1.5 inch slopes, for fully adhered and mechanically attached low-slope roofs. It is classed ASTM C578 Type IV with R-5 per inch, 25 psi minimum compressive strength and 50 psi flexural strength, in 4 by 8 foot boards 1 to 4 inches thick, and the code table lists Factory Mutual approval, ICC-ES ESR-4755, UL Classification Certificate D-369 and DrJ TER reports 1303-01, 1506-03 and 2105-01.
