MetShield Synthetic with WIP GRIP Technology is a mechanically fastened polyolefin roof underlayment, 16 mils thick, with a skid-resistant polymer walking surface, for steep-slope roofs under asphalt shingles, metal, tile and slate. Rolls are 48 inches by 250 feet at 32 pounds. The TDS lists ASTM D226-97, ASTM D4869 (water shower exposure pass), ASTM E108, ICC-ES AC188 and CCRR-1028, a permeance under 0.05 perms by ASTM E96, a service range of -40°F to 260°F, 180 days of UV exposure and a 35-year warranty.
