The DMC 1" Cap Seam is a flat-pan metal roof panel joined by a low-profile 1-inch snap-on cap, suited to curved work down to a 3-foot radius and to hip and valley detailing. Standard nominal widths are 12, 16 and 20 inches, in painted Galvalume or Drexlume (22 and 24 gauge) and painted aluminum (.032 and .040 inch), with the cap limited to 24 gauge or .032 inch. Minimum slope is 3:12 over plywood decking of at least 15/32 inch with approved underlayment. The data sheet states a 35-year non-prorated PVDF paint warranty on Galvalume and aluminum substrates and 25 years on the Drexlume substrate.
