Defend-R Coated Glass is a flat rigid roof insulation board with a closed-cell polyisocyanurate core faced on both sides with a coated glass facer (CGF), made with light and dark facer sides. It is sold in 4 by 4 and 4 by 8 foot panels from 1 to 4.5 inches thick (LTTR R-5.7 to R-26.8), in 20 psi Grade 2 or 25 psi Grade 3, for single-ply, built-up, modified bitumen and coal-tar roofs. The TDS states a UL Class A combustible deck assembly rating at 1 inch or greater without a slip sheet or gypsum cover board, at slopes up to 1/2:12 with staggered joints, and lists ASTM C1289 Type II Class 2, ASTM D3273 mold resistance (10), Florida approval FL 46439, ICC-ES ESR-5453, UL 790, UL 1256 and UL 263.
