ValleyVent is DCI Products' corrugated under-sheathing, top-of-rafter vent that carries air past framing that blocks soffit-to-ridge airflow, nailed smooth side down to each rafter with its 3-ply thick edge pointed toward the obstruction before the roof sheathing is applied over it. DCI's instructions cover valley, skylight, chimney and hip roof installations, use pieces of 3-ply ValleyVent Tapered as shim spacers, and state that intake and exhaust vents are required with it. The installation instructions DCI publishes carry the IPS Roofing Products header, reflecting its national distribution through IPS.
