CedarVent is DCI Products' corrugated polyethylene cross-ventilation batten installed at the nail lines under cedar roof shingles and shakes, and behind cedar wall shingles and clapboards, so air and moisture can move and drain behind the cedar; on roofs DCI pairs it with its SmartRidge ridge vent for exhaust. The standard piece is 2.375 in. wide by 3/8 in. thick by 36 in. long; DCI lists 1 1/2 in. and 2 3/8 in. widths in 1- to 4-ply thicknesses plus custom sizes. CedarVent Plus is the same batten with a factory-attached fabric insect screen, generally used at roof and wall perimeters.
