BattenVent is DCI Products' rigid, corrugated polyethylene ventilation batten whose built-in air channels let air move in all directions behind roofing and siding so the materials can dry. DCI lists roof uses under cedar roofing, on top of rafters below the roof deck for cross ventilation between rafter bays, on fascia boards for intake, and as a perimeter vent for above-deck cedar ventilation products. The common size is 2 3/8 in. wide by 3/8 in. thick by 37 in. long in 2-, 3- or 4-ply thicknesses, with stock widths of 1 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 and 5 in. and custom sizes available.
