Tack Coat is a primer for approved roofing membranes that, used after cleaning with Conklin's WAC II, prepares aged membranes to receive Rapid Roof III, Equinox and Benchmark elastomeric roof coatings. It is sold in 5-gallon containers and 55-gallon drums, applied full strength by brush, roller or sprayer at about 250-300 square feet per gallon, and dries clear in about 2-8 hours. Its data sheet refers to UL 790 listings for its use as an optional primer.
