Prime Time is a dark gray, water-based elastomeric acrylic roof primer that prepares rough, weathered or irregular substrates for a Conklin roof coating and is required over built-up roofs, concrete and rolled roofing; it is also the required base coat in Rapid Roof HV systems. As a primer it yields about 140-160 square feet per gallon (6-8 dry mils) and as a base coat it is applied at 1.6 gallons per 100 square feet. Its data sheet lists a VOC content of 35 g/L and refers to UL 790 listings for its use as an optional primer.
