Conklin Encase is a water-based, gray acrylic rust-inhibiting primer for new and rusted metal surfaces, with PUMA XL, Equinox, Benchmark and Rapid Roof III roof coatings listed as companion products. It is sold in 5-gallon containers and 55-gallon drums and applied in one coat at about 325 square feet per gallon (2 dry mils). Its data sheet lists a VOC content of 33 g/L and refers to the UL Roofing Materials and Systems directory for fire-resistant assemblies.
