The Chief Standard (CS) panel is a 36-inch-coverage ribbed steel panel for roof or wall use, with 1-1/8-inch major ribs at 12 inches on center and minor ribs between them. Chief's guide specification gives 26-gauge, 80,000 psi or 24-gauge, 50,000 psi steel for roofs, with an acrylic-coated Galvalume finish or a PVDF or FEVE topcoat over an ASTM A792 AZ50 Galvalume substrate; published color SRI values run from 28 to 81, and a 29-gauge white polyester finish is offered for interior liner use only. The guide specification calls for roof panel assemblies with a UL 580 Class 30, 60 or 90 uplift rating, a UL 790 Class A fire rating and a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, with air and water testing to ASTM E1680 and E1646.
