XT 30 IR is a CertainTeed three-tab asphalt strip shingle on a fiber glass mat with a reinforcement added to its back surface, rated UL 2218 Class 4 at time of manufacture, with self-sealing adhesive. CertainTeed's data sheet gives 12 in by 36 in overall dimensions, a 5 in weather exposure, 80 shingles and about 230 lb per square, and requires new-roof or tear-off application for the Class 4 rating.
