WinterGuard HT X (high tack, high temperature) is a self-adhering SBS-modified asphalt waterproofing underlayment with a tough film top surface that will not scratch metal roofing, formulated to resist high temperatures under metal roofs and also used under shingle, slate and mechanically fastened tile at eaves, valleys and on low slopes down to 2:12. The data sheet gives a 3 ft. x 65 ft. roll (1.95 squares), 40 mils thick with a 3 in. selvedge and 46 lb. per roll, a maximum exposure of 180 days, and an ASTM E108 Class A rating when used beneath asphalt shingles listed to ASTM D3462.
