Vycor Ice & Water Shield is a self-adhered roofing underlayment consisting of a rubberized asphalt adhesive backed by a slip-resistant, high-density cross-laminated polyethylene film, used under asphalt shingles, slate, tile, cedar, and standing-seam metal roofing on sloped roofs. The membrane's RIPCORD split-release liner assists installation, and the rubberized asphalt seals around fastener penetrations to resist ice-dam and wind-driven-rain water backup.
