RoofRunner is CertainTeed's synthetic roof underlayment, consisting of a woven polypropylene base with a nonwoven polyolefin sheet and a polymer back coating, installed beneath asphalt shingles and produced in 48-inch-wide by 250-foot-long rolls. Per ICC-ES ESR-4103 (reissued August 2025), RoofRunner is evaluated as a code-recognized alternative to ASTM D226 Type I and Type II felt underlayment, with fire classification testing reported in accordance with ASTM E108 (UL 790).
