RoofRunner AIR is CertainTeed's breathable synthetic underlayment for use beneath asphalt shingles, built from a multilayer laminated polypropylene nonwoven and differing from standard RoofRunner in its permeable construction (a typical moisture vapor transmission of 15 perms). The data sheet gives a 4 ft. x 250 ft. roll (1,000 sq. ft., 937.5 sq. ft. of coverage), 22 mils nominal, about 35 lbs., six months of UV exposure, and a Class A fire result under ASTM E108 and UL 790 with a Class A shingle; it is not to be used as ice-dam protection at eaves.
