CertainTeed Ridge Vent is a rigid polypropylene shingle-over ridge vent with an external wind baffle, flexing ventilating end plugs, weep holes and at least ten preformed nail bosses, sold in a 12 in. unfiltered version, a 12 in. filtered version and a 9 in. filtered version with an internal weather filter. Its data sheets give 18 sq. in. of net free area per linear foot for the 12 in. versions (roof pitches 3/12 to 16/12, wind-driven rain resistant to 110 mph) and 16 sq. in. for the 9 in. version (3/12 to 12/12), a lifetime limited warranty with 5-year SureStart protection, and, for the 12 in. unfiltered vent, a "UL Class C Fire Resistance" line that names no fire test.
