Heat-activated, self-adhered SBS-modified base sheet or interply with fiberglass reinforcement, for hybrid roof systems with non-self-adhering cap sheets. It is 1.4 mm (55 mils) thick, weighs 78 lbs per roll and covers two squares; its black slag top surface allows up to six months of exposure, and it may also be used as a vapor barrier. CertainTeed lists it as meeting ASTM D4601 Type I and ASTM D1970, with GreenCircle certification for 24% recycled content. Warranty terms of ten to twenty-five years depend on the system specification and product selection.
