InsulBase HD is a 1/2 in. high-density polyisocyanurate cover board bonded on each side to glass-reinforced felt, offered in 4' x 4' and 4' x 8' panels. Carlisle states it is for mechanically attached single-ply systems only and gives an R-value of 2.5 and a maximum compressive strength of 109 psi. The data sheet lists ASTM C1289 Type II Class 5 Grade 1, IBC Section 2603, UL 790/263/1256 as a component of Class A roof systems, FM 4450/4470 Class 1 and CAN/ULC S704.
