Carlisle Sure-Seal FleeceBACK AFX EPDM
Carlisle's fleece-backed EPDM cap sheet, bonding a patented 7.5-ounce, 45-mil AFX fleece to the EPDM sheet with hot-melt adhesive — the fleece is specifically engineered to resist asphalt bleed-through, letting the membrane serve as the cap sheet in hot-mopped or cold-applied multi-ply hybrid systems over modified bitumen or BUR. Total sheet thicknesses are 90 or 105 mil in 4.5-foot and 10-foot widths with 3-inch or 6-inch Factory-Applied Tape seams. The product data sheet reports a -67°F brittleness point (ASTM D2137), industry-leading xenon-arc weathering resistance of 41,580 kJ/m² for the black membrane, 67% fewer seams than modified bitumen, and "excellent hail damage resistance, passing FM's severe hail test" (stated without a named UL 2218/FM 4473 class, so no impact class is recorded). A white reflective Sure-White version carries CRRC-listed radiative properties.
