STURDY-DEK is a multi-ply semi-rigid asphaltic cover board with a mineral- fortified asphalt core between two asphalt-saturated fiberglass liners, used as a cover, separator or leveling board under built-up and modified bitumen roofs over wood, concrete, rigid insulation or an existing roof; modified bitumen can be torched directly to it. The July 2024 data sheet prints 1/8 and 1/4 inch 4 by 8 foot sheets at 0.67 and 1.58 lb per square foot, over 72 percent asphalt, under 1 percent water absorption, compressive strength above 1700 and 1400 psi and puncture resistance of 120 and 130 lbf, UL classification to ANSI/UL 790 and ULC classification to CAN/ULC-S107 as a component in Class A roof systems, and Florida product approval FL42402. The data sheet also carries the line 'NoA 23-0623.03', the same Miami-Dade number Blue Ridge prints for Structodek, and the web page gives the UL reference as R20803 where the sheet prints TGFU.R20803.
