BITEC MAT-40 is a self-adhered, high-temperature waterproofing underlayment for tile and metal roofs, reinforced with polyester in combination with a fiberglass scrim and coated on the underside with an SBR polymer modified adhesive under a split release film. Its polyester-fabric top surface provides slip resistance and a surface for adhering tile in polyurethane foam, with a 3-inch selvage for side laps. The data sheet states it can be applied where roof temperatures reach 260 degrees F, can be left exposed for 120 days, and self-seals around nails and staples.
