ElastoTherm HD Coverboard is a 0.5-inch high-density roof cover board with a closed-cell polyisocyanurate foam core bonded to an inorganic coated glass facer, made in 4 by 4 and 4 by 8 foot panels. The data sheet lists a minimum compressive strength of 80 psi tested per ASTM C 1289, an LTTR value of 2.5, and mold resistance evaluated under UL 2824. It lists UL 790 Roofing Systems Classification with UL Class B over combustible decks with UL classified membranes, FM Approved 4450 / 4470, and FM Approved 4473 rated SH-1 for Severe Hail. BITEC warns the board will burn if exposed to significant heat and that flame must not be applied directly to it.
