BITEC Beta Base is an oxidized (non-modified) asphalt, fiberglass-reinforced base sheet for use in APP and SBS modified bitumen and built-up roof systems. It can be mechanically attached, mopped in Type III or IV asphalt, or set in approved BITEC elastomeric adhesives. The data sheet lists a 60 mil nominal thickness, sand surfacing on both faces, 108 ft by 3 ft rolls weighing 75 lbs, UL classification R13231 as a membrane for roofing systems as to external fire exposure only, and NEMO certification.
