BITEC APM-4T is a granule-surfaced APP (atactic polypropylene) modified bitumen cap sheet designed for torch application over approved substrates in commercial roof membrane configurations. The technical data sheet lists a 4 mm nominal (160 mil average) thickness, a weight of 84 lbs per 100 square feet, 4-inch selvage, a pattern-embossed burn-off film on the underside, and UL classification R13231 as a membrane for roofing systems as to external fire exposure only. The sheet describes the membrane as reinforced with a polyester mat while citing ASTM D6223, whose title as printed on the same sheet refers to a combination of polyester and glass fiber reinforcements. It also lists FM Approved, TDI Evaluation ID RC-58 and HUD MR No. 1229.
