A single-leaf 36 in. x 30 in. roof hatch for access by a fixed interior ladder, with compression-spring operators in telescopic tubes for one-hand opening and a hold-open arm that locks the cover open. The guide specification calls for a 14 gauge galvannealed steel or 11 gauge aluminum cover with an EPDM gasket and 1 in. fiberglass insulation under a metal liner, on a 12 in. curb with a 3-1/2 in. mounting flange, 1 in. fiberboard insulation and integral capflashing with the Bil-Clip tabs for holding single-ply membrane. It rates the cover for a 40 psf live load and a design pressure of +/- 100 psf for the galvanized steel (S-20) and aluminum (S-50) models, and states those two models carry a Miami-Dade County Notice of Acceptance and Florida product approval. Stainless steel (S-90) and aluminum-cover/steel-curb (S-40) models are also listed.
