A nail-gunnable, shingle-over ridge vent that Benjamin Obdyke markets as the lightest ridge vent on a roll, with a breathable weather barrier, a wing-tip design that keeps shingles from folding over the vent, and a see-through hinge for centering over the ridge (hot-dipped galvanized nails included). Per the manufacturer's sell sheet it prints a net free area of 12.5 in² per lineal foot, is 10 1/2 in. wide, 0.625 in. thick, and ships in 20 ft and 50 ft rolls. The Standard width carries Texas Department of Insurance Product Evaluation approval (RV-01) and Florida Building Code approval (FL 7751); Benjamin Obdyke's ridge vent warranty is lifetime when installed with new shingles carrying a lifetime manufacturer warranty, or 50 years when the shingle warranty runs for a shorter term.
