Benchmark Foam EPS Roofing Insulation

Molded expanded polystyrene (EPS) roof insulation boards made by Benchmark Foam, offered as flat boards and as a custom-designed tapered system to drain low-slope roofs, in standard 4 ft x 4 ft or 4 ft x 8 ft boards cut to custom thicknesses. Tapered systems are supplied with shop drawings, marked boards and factory-cut hips, valleys, crickets and saddles. The maker states the boards are manufactured for direct application over steel roof decks without a thermal barrier under ICC-ES ESR-3412. Its EPS properties table lists ASTM C578 Types XI, I, VIII, II, IX and XIV, from 0.70 to 2.40 pcf minimum density, with R-values per inch at 75 F of 3.10 to 4.50 and compressive strengths of 5 to 40 psi.
