A heavy-duty roof hatch (model BRHS) for prisons, banks, water treatment plants and similar sites, built of 3/16 in. galvanneal steel or 1/4 in. aluminum with stainless steel tamper-proof hinges, in ladder (36 x 30, 36 x 36, 48 x 48 in.) and ship-stair (30 x 54 in.) sizes. Options include installed detention and mortise locks and an 8 in. x 8 in. view port. It has a gas spring with damper, a hold-open arm, 1 in. polystyrene cover and 1 in. polyiso curb insulation, and a single-wall curb with EZ tab counterflash; the cover carries a 40 psf live load.
