A UL 793 listed automatic roof smoke vent (model BSVS) with insulated metal covers in single, double and quad-leaf versions, built in 11 gauge aluminum or 14 gauge galvanneal steel on a single-wall curb with EZ tab counterflash and 1 in. polyiso (R-6) insulation. Gas springs open the covers against a 10 psf snow load, and a rotary latch holds double-door covers closed against 90 psf and releases through a 165 F fusible link or pull cables; double-door sizes run from 48 x 48 in. up to 60 x 120 in. or 72 x 96 in. The data sheet prints FM 4430 approval for a version with a 360-degree fusible link.
